Things to Do at Baldy
Town :
- Climb Baldy Mountain- While at Baldy Town, take a moment
to stop and enjoy the view. Drop off your packs, and climb Baldy, the tallest
mountain in Philmont. Allow several hours to make the climb. The best plan
is probably to eat lunch near the top so you have ample time to make the climb
down before the rain.
- Visit the General Store- Need more film? Some Gatorade?
Need to mail a postcard? The General Store will help you with whatever you
need.
- Shower- Showers are available at Baldy Town for use.
- Pick up food- If you are scheduled to pick up food at Baldy
Town, make sure you take some packs to carry it back in.

- Allow plenty of time to climb Baldy.
